Meet Our Attorneys
Robert D. Stein
Founder, Attorney at Law
Mr. Stein received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Georgia in 1971 and was commissioned as an officer in the United States Army military intelligence.
He began his law practice in 1978, after graduating from Atlanta Law School with a Juris Doctorate degree in 1977. Mr. Stein is a family man, married to his lovely wife, Lynn, for over 40 years. He is most proud of his only son who someday may join the practice.
Fun Fact: Bob was inducted into the University of North Georgia Athletic Hall of Fame, and the University of North Georgia Baseball team plays at “Bob Stein Stadium.”
Melody M. Fox
Managing Partner, Attorney at Law
Born in the Philippines, Ms. Fox grew up travelling the continental United States with her military family. They ultimately settled in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she spent the majority of her adolescence. She then graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. Ms. Fox attended John Marshall Law School, where she was selected to join the Negotiations Team. While there, she was awarded the Chief Justice Leah Ward Sears Pro Bono Award.
After law school, Ms. Fox worked for the Georgia Attorney General’s office in the Medicaid Fraud division. She also gained valuable experience working at one of the largest criminal defense firms in the metro-Atlanta area as a lead trial lawyer. These skills helped prepare her for her foray into personal injury law. She worked at one of the largest personal injury firms in Georgia for some time, but believed she could make a bigger difference with a smaller firm. Ms. Fox’s focus has always been on representing the client’s best interests and advocating on their behalf. She is licensed to practice law in Georgia and is admitted in all Georgia courts.
In her spare time, she assists at the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation. She also enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Chris J. Fox
Attorney at Law
Chris J. Fox was born in Johnson City, Tennessee in 1981. He graduated from Science Hill High School in 1999. Chris spent several years working as a professional caddie at the Ocean Course of Kiawah Island, South Carolina. He also caddied for two PGA Tour Pros, in separate PGA events during that time period. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree from East Tennessee State University (“ETSU”) in 2008. Chris earned Dean’s List Honors during multiple semesters of his college career. After graduating from ETSU, Chris spent some time working in sales, but ultimately decided the law was his calling. He attended Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School, where he served as a member of the Sports and Entertainment Society and was also elected the Student Body Association Representative during his 2L year. Chris earned his Juris Doctorate in May of 2014, passed the Georgia Bar Exam, and was sworn in as an attorney in the State of Georgia in December 2014.
Chris began his legal career with the DeKalb County Conflict Defender’s Office. While working there, he primarily handled pre-trial hearings for the Conflict Office. Chris subsequently took on employment with a law firm called Lister and Holt as a criminal defense trial attorney. He immediately showed talent as a trial attorney and began to collect “Not Guilty” verdicts. He was quickly promoted to the position of Lead Attorney, where he supervised the Henry County office. Chris subsequently returned to the DeKalb County Conflict Defender’s Office, where he was assigned to two Superior Court State Courtrooms as a trial attorney. As a Conflict Defender, Chris primarily handled complex co-defendant felony cases, where the stakes were very high. After approximately three years of intense criminal defense trial work, Chris decided to branch out into the civil arena, specifically personal injury law. Chris then took a job as a litigation attorney with a small personal injury firm. As in criminal law, Chris immediately garnered great results in the courtroom with civil cases. He acquired “Plaintiff Verdicts/Awards,” time and time again. He brings his experience in the courtroom and skills in negotiation to Stein and Fox LLC, where he now strives to achieve the best results for his clients. Every day he works to put the clients first, while attempting to master his craft as the same time.
In Chris’s free time, he enjoys playing golf, watching movies, and taking hikes with his dog Lucky. Chris is also an avid boxing fan, as well as a die-hard Atlanta Braves fan.
Charles C. Hooker, II
Attorney at Law
Charles C. Hooker, II brings experience practicing law in many different fields with emphasis on all aspects of Entertainment Law and Personal Injury.
He graduated with Honors from Morehouse College with a Bachelor of Arts in English, he held a place with the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and consistently established himself on the Deans List.
In the summer of 2007, Charles C. Hooker, II had an amazing opportunity to study International Criminal law and International Private law abroad at the City University of London.
He received his Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where again he retained his prestigious placement on the Dean’s List and became an active board member of the Law Center’s Moot Court. He was awarded Best Oral Advocate during Moot Court competition.
Shortly after passing the Georgia Bar Exam, Charles C. Hooker, II was offered an Associate Attorney position at one of the largest law firms in Georgia, where he worked on an array of Personal Injury and Court of Appeals cases.
All the while, Charles Hooker continued to practice Entertainment Law, assisting burgeoning and established music artists with their brand establishment and recognition, as well as smartly drafting and negotiating various types of contracts.
Charles is in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia and is admitted to practice in State Court, Supreme Court, Court of Appeals and the Northern District Court of Georgia.
