Meet Our Attorneys
Robert D. Stein
Founder, Attorney at Law
Mr. Stein received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Georgia in 1971 and was commissioned as an officer in the United States Army military intelligence.
He began his law practice in 1978, after graduating from Atlanta Law School with a Juris Doctorate degree in 1977. Mr. Stein is a family man, married to his lovely wife, Lynn, for over 40 years. He is most proud of his only son who someday may join the practice.
Fun Fact: Bob was inducted into the University of North Georgia Athletic Hall of Fame, and the University of North Georgia Baseball team plays at “Bob Stein Stadium.”
James E. Nash Jr.
Senior Partner, Attorney at Law
Mr. Nash began practicing law in 2000 after receiving his Juris Doctorate degree from Georgia State University. He practiced in insurance defense for 14 years before transitioning to the plaintiff's side in 2015.
In his spare time, Mr. Nash has enjoyed coaching his son's baseball and basketball teams for over 10 years. Mr. Nash played college baseball and has played in Men's Softball Tournaments all over the country for over 25 years.
He has won multiple Softball World Championships, including most recently the 2017 A&V Men's Softball World Championship in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Managing Partner, Attorney at Law
Born in the Philippines, Ms. Toddy grew up travelling the continental United States with her military family. They ultimately settled in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she spent the majority of her adolescence. She then graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. Ms. Toddy attended John Marshall Law School, where she was selected to join the Negotiations Team. While there, she was awarded the Chief Justice Leah Ward Sears Pro Bono Award.
After law school, Ms. Toddy worked for the Georgia Attorney General’s office in the Medicaid Fraud division. She also gained valuable experience working at one of the largest criminal defense firms in the metro-Atlanta area as a lead trial lawyer. These skills helped prepare her for her foray into personal injury law. She worked at one of the largest personal injury firms in Georgia for some time, but believed she could make a bigger difference with a smaller firm. Ms. Toddy’s focus has always been on representing the client’s best interests and advocating on their behalf. She is licensed to practice law in Georgia and is admitted in all Georgia courts.
In her spare time, she assists at the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation. She also enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Dantel Ruiz graduated magna cum laude of Spelman College with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, and a graduate of Georgia State University College of Law.
During law school Dantel served as Vice President of the Black Law Students Association and was an active member of the Public Interest Law Association, which was a commitment that helped lead to her graduating from law school with Pro Bono Distinction.
Originally from New York City, Dantel’s passion for law began at an early age, and she brings that dedication with her as an attorney. Prior to joining the team at Stein & Nash LLC, Dantel worked for the largest criminal defense firm in Georgia, where she served as lead attorney, gaining extensive litigation experience.
